What We Once Shared

Through my experience doing seasonal work, I’ve learned to find a home wherever I go. Over my time spent in Denali National Park, I decided to capture portraits of the people who touched my heart in a short period of time. Once I began forming special connections, I noticed what bonded us so easily—our shared love and passion for experiencing. From the stories we exchange and the forests we explore, we all left something behind to be here. Through the space we connect in, our temporary time shared becomes something that lasts forever. Through shooting each portrait, I picked a location where a memory was formed between the subject and me. Carefully framing each photograph to create a natural composition and highlight the vast environment we are immersed in. When our time expires, we will all go our separate ways, but the magic will remain in what we once shared.
